Testimonials

We are justifiably very proud of both our pupils and are school. We believe Thorverton C of E Primary is a great place to come to school, but please don't just take our word for it...below are a selection of responses from our 2022 Parent Questionnaire, alongside quotes from other correspondence we have received:

It has never once been a struggle to get her to go to school...in fact she often wants to go back a few days into the school holidays! She has thrived within such a nurturing, caring and personal environment and has made some strong bonds with her teachers and friends alike. She has had such a wealth of wonderful opportunities and the very best start to her learning journey and for that we will always so very grateful.

I have two children at the school - in Year 1 and Year 3. They are both happy and flourishing. We are particularly happy to see the way that our older child is growing in confidence. She has particularly enjoyed the outings to Lord's Meadow, which have been brilliant at introducing her to a wider range of sports. We think you all do a really great job!

The staff are fantastic and have really supported and encouraged our child during his first two years at school. Thank you for all you do.

My child has made huge changes this year both at home and at school. Her confidence and happiness is at a level I have not witnessed before. The school have enabled her to grow, be safe and be happy and I believe the additional support she’s been given as-well as the relationships she has been allowed to form with staff have made the difference. She has been given the tools and support she’s needed to believe in herself and I would like to thank all those involved who have made this happen.

I think the whole federation does a great job.  There’s a good inclusive friendly family feel at Thorverton and the values really help to drive that. Staff seem really friendly and approachable. My child really likes all of his class teachers. I think keeping a good wide approach to education to include extra curricular things like music, sport, drama and keeping learning fun are the key to a happy school
